Laurent Rousseau

He's a real guitar man, born of the unlikely encounter between art brut (blues), the Tour de France (landscapes), Jimmy Hendrix (audacity and ecstasy), Arnold Schoenberg (the vertigo of theory) and a youtuber with a cap (the charm of “tchatche”).

A guy who can name twenty-five historic bluesmen, and replay for you in a second, on the neck of one of his twenty guitars, the harmonic architecture of their style and the melodic structure of a solo.

A self-taught musician who, like Obelix, fell into the magic potion when he was a child, and who has nevertheless managed, starting with a single Elvis Presley record, to reappropriate all the music of the 20th century, from the most “popular” to the most “learned”.

An atypical creator who, like the Facteur Cheval, has built himself a musical Universe-World by piling up, like pebbles picked up on the road, hundreds of little videos shot with his finger.
A handsome human being dripping with poetry and truth, who never takes himself for a poet (and even less for the truth!).

Laurent Rousseau, for that's who he is, offers a number of fascinating musical formations on his website “l'Oreille Moderne”.

Laurent Rousseau also broadcasts (on his Youtube channel, “La minute utile du musicien”) dozens of short, fascinating and free videos, often filmed on location in front of magnificent landscapes...
